99% of the time we strive to rank well for a keyword phrase in Google (search engines). Although there are plenty of advantages like…
1. Getting more search engine traffic
2. Reducing Pay-Per-Click costs
It seems this motive is being gradually changed. The question is what’s next after SEO optimization? What is the goal of doing any SEO in the first place?
If you are like me, you would be answering – conversions. Isn’t it plain simple that all we want is to increase the conversions? Who cares if you get 1 cent a click if you are converting at 0.01%? (I know you would think that the more clicks you get, the more number of conversions you make at the same percentage).
I wouldn’t dare to say that SEO is dead by itself. But smart people are already desperate to achieve more than that – Conversion SEO. Wouldn’t it be interesting to do a math analysis where you focus on increasing your conversions rather than doing many crazy things to satisfy the ever changing search engine rules for high ranking? Who the hell in this world knows when Google is going to change its ranking algorithms. Who likes to wakeup on a bad day to see his website rank was far lower than the day before?
Writing content with search engine friendly keywords is itself debatable. Isn’t it artificial to write something by mixing some set of words rather than express what comes out of your mind naturally? Is there anyone who says it is really enjoyable for no reason to write search engine friendly content? I don’t think so.
Many marketers feel SEO only as a way to get targeted traffic, given the fact that there are very less effective ways to get the task done. Since the search engines are not evolved much over a decade, we are still bound to the old activities to satisfying them. You know how painful it is. If internet marketers are going to adapt this attitude to focus on conversion SEO, where does this change lead to? Is this going to be a shift in the way we do businesses online? Are we going to see a golden internet age? Lets hope for the best…
